Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 6, 2026
Ben Adams Consulting (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website benadamsconsulting.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Our website address is https://benadamsconsulting.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact or quote form, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, company, and the message you send.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our analytics provider collect standard technical information through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the site.
Comments. When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.
Media. If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, because visitors can download and extract that location data from images on the site.
How we use your information
We use the information to respond to your inquiries, provide and improve our services, understand how the site is used, and communicate with you about your request. We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and usage. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about your use of the site. You can learn about Google’s practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out using Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience, so you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we set several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies are removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. It includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the site may not function properly without them.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content, such as videos, images, or articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if you had visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
We share information only with service providers who help us operate the site and our business, such as our analytics and hosting providers, and when required by law. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
How long we retain your data
If you submit a contact or quote form, we keep the information for as long as needed to respond to your request and for our legitimate business records, unless a longer period is required by law.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on the website, if any, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except they cannot change their username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have submitted a form, have an account, or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last revised.
