Let’s talk about what you’d hand over

Start here

Most first conversations I have start the same way: someone is carrying a number, the team is smaller than the number, and they’re trying to work out whether the answer is a hire, an agency, or someone senior on a monthly basis. That’s the conversation worth having, and you don’t need a deck or a brief to have it.

What to tell me

Three things, and rough answers are fine. I’d rather hear the real version than a tidy one.

  • What you own. The number you’re carrying and the period you’re carrying it over.
  • What your team can actually cover. Who you have, what they’re good at, and which agencies or contractors are already running.
  • Where the gap is. The thing you’d hand over tomorrow if someone senior walked in on Monday.

What I’ll come back with

  • How I’d staff it, meaning which of the two engagements fits and why.
  • What I’d take on in the first ninety days, specifically rather than generally.
  • What it costs monthly, and what that covers.
  • If I’m not the right fit for what you’re facing, I’ll say that instead and tell you what I think you actually need.

How this usually goes

  • You send the three things above. I read them properly before we speak.
  • We talk for 45 minutes. It’s a working session, not a pitch, so expect questions.
  • Within a few days you get the scope, the ninety-day plan, and the monthly number in writing.
  • No follow-up sequence, and no pressure. If the timing is wrong, tell me and I’ll leave it with you.

Send it over

Use the form and I’ll reply within one business day. If you’d rather just email, I’m at ben@benadamsconsulting.com.

Pipeline, revenue, CAC, retention, whatever you are measured on.
Headcount, agencies, and the channels that are already running.
The part nobody senior is owning right now.

Before you write

Two things worth knowing, so neither of us spends time we don’t need to.

  • I work on an ongoing basis. Six months or annual, with a set amount of my capacity each month. If you need one defined project delivered, I’m not the right call and I’ll point you somewhere better.
  • You work with me directly. No account managers, no handoffs, and nobody junior doing the work behind a senior name.

Not sure which engagement fits? Fractional CMO is where I run the function. The specialty engagements are where I own one part of it.
